We have launched a program called “Frihamnstorget Friends”, that gives you unlimited access to our cultural program while supporting the local urban community of creatives to realize its dream to develop a co-owned and co-created urban village in the middle of Stockholm.
Why to become a friend of Frihamnstorget?
For the past three years, we have been building a unique space in Sweden. We are prototyping a participatory container village where creatives, businesses and organizations thrive in synergy. The venture is a citizen-driven experiment connecting culture, urban placemaking and community. Our vision is to continue to expand our space and activities in order to maximize our impact in the neighborhood and beyond.
By becoming part of Frihamnstorget’s Friends you will become an active contributor to this vision! And additionally, there are some benefits:
Access to a cultural summer program that hosts emerging and established artists alike, especially those who like to experiment and take risks in their artistic expression
Invitation to monthly events for Friends of Frihamnstorget during the long winter months
A link to an active network of creatives from all walks of life, striving to influence the cultural sphere of Stockholm
What are the different memberships I sign up for and what do they include?
All members have access to our outdoor summer program, including outdoor cinema, circus, shows, gallery openings and concerts. During the long winter months, we have committed to organize one film viewing per month and invite to one monthly AfterWork, a space to meet others interested in community and culture. More might follow as we grow!
The different memberships are based on what you can contribute with, so it is for you to decide how much you can contribute with. The entry fee for regular events costs around 150 SEK, so coming to one event per month is the same as having a supportive membership. Except, it allows the entire cultural program to grow and develop in more interesting directions.

Can I do one-time donations?
Yes, you can! A “Gift for Frihamnstorget” is a way to say thank you for your efforts, I appreciate you, please keep building this thing. These donations are without strings attached and are being used for the infrastructure needed in the container village.

Why is my support important for Frihamnstorget?
Your support contributes significantly to the development of Frihamnstorget. The cultural program is a not-for-profit initiative put up by a couple of friends eager to contribute to the creative landscape of our city. We want to keep experimenting while building a community and space not yet heard of in Stockholm. However, changing systems is hard and comes with a lot of work, bureaucracy and costly permits. Therefore, your support will be channeled towards all the “realities” needed for this collective “dream”. This includes more public art and events, paid artistic performances and basic maintenance.
