Eye Measure & bas bleau & Victor Herrero @ Frihamnstorget
Welcome to the new summer concerts at Frihamnstorget pushing the boundaries of classical, electronic and experimental genres. Each concert showcases adventurous cross-disciplinary performances including free jazz, ambient, electronica, neo-classical or minimal techno.
For the Cinnamon series #6 we are happy to present three incredible musicians: the Stockholm-based dj and electronic music producer bas beau, the UK-based Eye Measure and the Spanish singer Víctor Herrero.
Víctor Herrero voice & guitar, comes to Stockholm to present his new album Pajarito Negro (Little Black Bird). Recorded in Portugal, land of contrasts that, according to the author, inspired the melancholic landscapes of this his new visible milestone.
"The guitar has always occupied a special place in Spanish music - namely in flamenco, where players often perform with complicated and acrobatic techniques. But Madrid-born Víctor Herrero rose to prominence lending the Iberian guitar new, contemporary meanings. Sometimes preferring to keep his playing simpler and focusing on the stories he tells - channeling a kind of Spanish-speaking Dylan. He is, however, so much more than that and has also demonstrated he can sonically travel to both Africa and South America too, just by a flick of the finger."

bas bleau (Nora Pollak) is a producer, composer, and DJ. In 2021 she released her debut-EP ”SOMA” via London-based imprint Cherche Encore. She has been producing experimental mixes for Threads Radio, RTM, TUKIO, among others, collaborating with classical musicians and done sound design for video installations. Her music and mixes are characterised by wet rhythmic and melodic material — fluid movements between dark wobbly bass, dynamic percussions, and edits with playful, sharp tension.
