Building digital infrustructures for participatory placemaking

Plato is based on the insight that civil society can create spaces in urban areas for meetings and co-creation among citizens. Plato provides grassroots digital tools for planning, decision-making, and budgeting that support co-creation and self-organization.

The community of Blivande and Frihamnstorget has the capacity to participate in decision-making for budgeting and co-created projects through several digital platforms that facilitate their communication. These platforms include CoBudget, Discord, the Forum, Open Collective, and the Dreams platform.

The Plato project was granted funding by the Vinnova organization in 2019.
